somewhere around the third day in a row at work I started listening to the music that plays in a repeated loop. and, i said to myself, that sounds kind of like letigre and the next song sounds like jimmy eat world. i start listening now through the rest of the loopy loop and by the 4 or 5th time listening i pretty sure it's le tigre and JEW. finally i decided i need written confirmation on this and lo and behold, it is le tigre and JEW.
what the fuck?
le tigre was especially the last band on earth that i ever expected to play on an old navy playlist. i can never look at these two bands in the same way AGAIN!
they have been despoiled.
i was told a while back that the word "ghetto" is very un-PC especially to the elite and intellectual black population. The word is equivalent to "gay," "retarded," or "white trash". they are considered un-PC words that carry a negative connotation and yet are rampantly used in current language.
I find this unfortunate if for nothing else than the loss of a descriptive adjective with which to describe the Liberty Tree Mall. oh Liberty Tree Mall. if only i had the word in which to describe thee!

for one thing, i once found a small fly in my salad from the panera in the mall. they refunded me my lunch and then reassured me that they wash their lettuce two to three times before serving. I was soooo reassured.
yesterday i nearly got into a fight with a lady over our return policy. she handed me her license which read "gloucester." figures really. such a shame considering all the swampscott people were really nice today. i say this unsarcastically. they really were.
following that thought, there was a snow storm yesterday that i worked in and the mall was still packed. what the hell?! five employees called out but work wrote them up because they figured that if the customers came, then the employee can do it too. but come now. some of these smucks must have walked here because the roads were god awful. honestly, they must have woken up the day after christmas with a fire under their asses.
on the way home getting on to the on ramp, a SUV was ass down in the little ditch besides the on ramp and there were cars flying by!!! i was barely going 30 and these little hondas were just jetting. it saddened me. they were all going die.
