I can't break free, I can feel your gravity
So, Wednesday my car came back to me, good as new, and I headed into work. Kayla ended up not coming over, so I basically just came home and vegged all night. However, I did receive the CDs I ordered off of Amazon...Snow Patrol's second CD and The Reindeer Section's second CD as well. Both are full of joyous listening pleasure!
Thursday was a fun-filled day of work. My boss was gone for 2/3 of the day, so that made the day more bearable. Thursday night I went over Dad's to do some iPod schtuff and have dinner. Downloaded some tunes with the 6 free song caps I had collected from Pepsi. Shhh...don't tell anyone, but I've found a way to cheat (tilt the bottle a little and you can see the underside of the cap and what it says). Its bulletproof!
Friday was work. I lost the week-long appt. setting blitz by a score of 9-1. Yes, I got my ass kicked. Yes, I have no shame.
Friday night was up in the air. I was possibly hanging out with Kayla, but since the weather wasn't too bad she decided to go do something fun instead. Haha. So, I came back here and made chicken scampi for my brother than I. It actually came out really well, but it needed a bit more garlic and more sauce as well. Otherwise, it tasted excellent!
Yesterday I vegged and shoveled all day. Nice, thick, heavy, wet snow is always my favorite! However, all was well when I received the CD with some NEW STIR songs in the mail! They all sound wicked good...5 new songs that I had heard of, but hadn't heard up until yesterday! See, this is what music is about...community. I traded some tunes I had with someone else who had these songs...its perfect!
Last night was Kelly's martini party in Slumaville. I almost didn't go beacause it was still snowing, but I decided to brave the elements, and I am glad I did! It was such a good time! Not a ton of people from work showed, but I had fun regardless. I did get a lil shitfaced, but not overly inebriated. It was just cool spending some time outside of work with some cool people! I was there til 4:30am, and kinda got lost on the Tufts University campus when I left (not sure how I got there, but I backtracked and eventually found my way). I have pictures, and those may be in the Webshots album as early as tonight. More likely tomorrow night though.
Tonight?? No idea. I have called Kayla to see if she wanted to grab dinner, but I have yet to hear back from her. So, I may end up sitting around, uploading all the aforementioned pics. This week...uh, take one guess.
