Week in Rock...I mean...my week
Haven't done a daily breakdown in a while, so here goes:
Monday: Work. After work, I went up to Nashwa and hit up the Verizon store. Told the guy about my phone issues, and got a new phone (same model) for free. I tried to weazle a new type of phone (there was a nice Samsung camera phone there...hot of the production line) by telling him I knew a lot of people who have the same phone and the same issues (a lot of people = 3), but he objection handled me with all this crap about how they just uphold a manufacturers warranty, how they found the root of the problem and fixed it in the newer released phones, blah blah blah. He did say if it happens again with this phone, I would have the ability to trade it in for a new model (get a manufacturer's refund check and put that toward a new phone). I lost all my ringtones too, which sucked. But I bitched to customer service and got credit for 5 ringtone d-loads. Score one for whining like a 7 year old girl!
Tuesday: Work. I called Grammy during work to check in on the dinner situation. Turns out Uncle Mike was taking us out (including me) for Grammy's birthday. We ended up going to Cafe Escadrille in Burlington. Quite a nice place! A bit on the pricey side as well. The food was really good though, so no complaints there. It was a nice night out with some family as well.
After dinner, I went over to Marshalls to pick up a semi-joke birthday gift for this girl I work with, Sarah.
Wednesday: More work. Presented Sarah with her gift: a pair of hot pink slippers. For weeks, she had been telling everyone her b-day is coming up. She's also been saying, "My feet are a size 8 if anyone feels like getting me something." She also always complains how cold she is. So, as a joke I splurged the 7 bucks and bought these hot pink slippers (her fav color). Turns out is was less of a joke and more appreciated than I thought. Since then, she was opted to wear them during the day instead of shoes, even going so far as saying its one of the best gifts she has ever gotten. Interesting...and kinda sad at the same time.
Anyway, last night was eh. I was dead tired, and got into a fight with mom. That's over though.
Today: More work. But, before that I was almost late cuz I had to spend 30 minutes trying to relight the pilot on the hot water heater this morning. It went out last night when we lost power (safety/pain-in-the-ass feature). I did all that just to get a warm shower, but by the time I finished with that I couldn't wait for the water to get hot. Took a freezing cold 8 second shower.
Tonight I found out that my plans tomorrow night with Sarah are a no-go. Sad. Now, I need to find something else to do. And with the way my weekend is scheduled (Stonehill Alumni event Saturday night, and Dad's/Christmas shopping on Sunday) we might not get a chance to hang out. No good. I guess there's always next weekend though...or not, since she prolly has finals.
OK...I need another beer...and I have to go watch El Aprentista. Dejarme una mensaje por favor! Hasta luego!
