Grab Code What color of Pernese dragon are you?
You are a bronze dragon! You are the biggest of the males, and generally you are the only one who gets to mate with the queen. You are an excellent leader. Your human partner is likely to be a Wingleader or even Weyrleader, the person in charge of the entire Weyr, and you are the mate of the senior queen. You are respected by the lower colors, and if you are the Weyrleader's dragon you are always obeyed, unless the queen contradicts you. Since queens are relatively uncommon, you are widely considered by humans the best dragon to be paired with.

This past week was a total write off as I developed a fever during work on monday and proceeded to shake in bed all of monday night and tuesday. Went to work the rest of the week high on dayquil but it was a pretty big chore. I'm still feeling the effects. I've never been this sick in my life, it worries me a little. Otherwise this week brought about a change in my work place as we will begin the process of hiring another video person tomorrow. For my part I have to get ready to train them and purchase new equipment (for myself, new people get hand-me-downs dammit :P). One interesting little thing is in regards to my intentions to convert our video workflow over to the macintosh. Seems that I can get a better hardware configuration in an iMac for less money than I could by building a PC box, and of course when it comes time to switch to macintosh we'll already have one. Makes me laugh in a pathetic sort of way. My sister comes to visit us today which is going to be awesome, but I really don't know what we're going to do with her. We're very boring people Amber and I, our lives consist of many RSS feeds, some Battlestar Galactica, Tales of Symphonia, and other assorted eccentricities. Whatever.

A little related and a little not, one of the issues of switching to a macintosh workflow is that fact that currently Photoshop is not a universal binary. I have major issues with Adobe from a stand point that they're long in the tooth to the point where they think they can tell people what they want and that people will just buy bloated system to run their bloated code, much of the core of which hasn't been updated since it was first developed for Macintosh in the 68k days. I was of the opinion it was very much their fault that they weren't able to create a universal version of their software quickly enough. Adobe's crack-addict CEO Chizen however is fond of blaming everyone but himself and claimed that Apple and Steve Jobs outright lied to all their developer's conference attendees about what the intel transition would mean. It's nice to find
an article that's well written and shows that actually both sides were technically right, kind of. I still think Adobe was irresponsible with their code base but I'm happy that they have engineers there who actually see the forest through the trees and recognise their own pitfalls as well as external ones. I say bring on CS3, I'll be looking forward to it. My only fear is with moving an app to a new development environment will result in more than a few bugs. And Adobe's track record for releasing bug-free software isn't very good in the first place.

Vaccuum. Cut my hair. Actually put some food in my fridge. Kim arrives. Sounds like a good day.
