Ok, I don't know how many of you know this, but I like football, the international kind and the American kind.

Anyway, as far as the "no adjective needed" football goes, the World Cup is coming up next year, and South Africa is hosting it, and in 2014 it'll be Brazil. HOWEVER, FIFA is still deciding where 2018 and 2022 will be, and that is where you come in.

^ That's the website for the people organizing the bid proposal to FIFA. If you would be so kind as to sign the petition, you will get a pleasant sticker in exchange. I would really like it especially if Florida people signed it, because I think if there's a big presence, the odds would be better for Miami, Orlando or Tampa being hosts, and even though it would be ten years into the future (jesus christ, how can that be), Miami is one of those places you never really can leave so I'd definitely still have people here I could crash with. Although it would be funny if the US DID get to host, and when WC time comes around, I'm living in some faraway country. What am I talking about funny, it would happen to me and that makes it sad.

So yes. Check it out. Also, the Premiership season starts this Saturday, so maybe you might want to check out some games on a shitty on-line stream somewhere. There are also a few games on Sunday as well. I'm personally hyped up for Tottenham vs. Liverpool, fyi (I like Tottenham). I think this is going to be a good season to watch, because the traditionally "top" teams have lost some good people, and some of the mid-tier teams have been buying a lot of good people, so it ought to be more competitive than it has been in the past. However, I do think Chelsea has the best chance of winning the whole thing (and they're one of the top four), and I really don't think Man City (the mid-tier team buying everyone) will gel immediately, so what do I know. Now's the time to start watching if you are so inclined, either way.

Oh, and I saw the US vs Mexico game yesterday. What a mess. I'm not gonna lie, the US should've been better (wtf was Ching doing on the field, for instance, and the first goal was in a wide fucking open space), and idg all the people complaining about the crowd, because the crowd was normal, but the ref was an idiot and the Mexican national team was a disgrace, as far as conduct goes.

That said, the Mexican goalkeeper is fine as hale. I'm undecided on the hair, but he is fine. ~*Muy bello~*.

In other news, I have been turning into a total girly girl because I went into a store and was utterly entranced by trying on shoes. This was directly caused by having money in the bank account. MONEY CHANGES EVERYTHING, Y'ALL. I've also been seeing some really cute coats/outerwear, but I live in Florida and I can't justify dropping a bunch of money on something I would honestly wear once a year if I pushed it.

dinero, this sporting life, clothes!
