I finally ran around Atlanta like a tourist today. I went to the art museum and the aquarium. The art museum was pretty boss, the architecture was great, the permanent collection was pretty good (there were a few things I wanted to take, ngl) and the exhibitions from the Louvre and Monet were nice. I recommend it.

I ate some empanadas from a restaurant. Shit was mediocre. I like my mom's more. :-/

The Georgia Aquarium was...eh. The general admission gave me a headache (I took two Excedrin as soon as I got back). I don't do well with tons of pushy and annoyed people (hence why Wal-Mart gives me a headache too). Also, I found the layout to be an absolute mess. That, and it's like, hello? I'm from a coastal city, if anything, I DON'T want to see tons of water for once. But then I had the Behind the Scenes tour, and I was the only one scheduled, so it was basically an aquarium tour guide showing me all of the background stuff (where the vets do surgery, the view from where trainers feed the animals, etc). It was really cool and I liked it a lot. The penguins were so precious, omg. And the lady showing me around was supernice and personable, and I felt a little bad for her because I'm so quiet, so she'd be waiting for me to say something or ask a question and I'd be like, ":-/". I should stop being so impossible.

So yeah. General admission = headache inducing, Behind the Scenes tour = very good. And it was all (aquarium and museum) free because my supervisor is...well, super.

Pictures will be forthcoming.
