I heart sleeping

Jan 14, 2007 15:44

The inspiration for that "subject" is me sleeping in until about 2:30 today. I did wake up for about an hour to watch Pinky and the Brain...then went back to sleep.

It's been a good weekend- nothing much to do but hang around and out with friends. Friday night Jon and I went to eat at R.T O'Sullivan's. There was some lame hockey game on- so the place was pretty busy, and loud. Afterward Greg came over and we all watched Brokeback Mountain and drank wine- then Jon and Greg had sex. It was hot.

That didn't actually happen.

Saturday was a relatively lazy day. Jon and I returned a movie, got lattes at Xtreme Bean (where they are apparently afraid of foam because my latte had zero), then went to my parent's house to pick up a pair of pants that came in the mail for me. They were a Christmas present- the original pair of pants were too small and had to be exchanged. Even the ones I exchanged them for were a tad bit snug, bringing me to today's rant...

SIZING

Okay, get this. The pants I originally got were a size 7, at least to the catalog. The brand of jeans (Vigoss) actually goes by inches (like guys jeans)- and they were a 28. Now, how a 28 is equal to a size 7, I don't know- 28 is pretty small. SO ANYWHO- those were too small and they had to be exchanged for the next size up- which were a 9, aka 29. I hate this brand, Vigoss. Vigoss makes me feel like shit. Here I am wearing a fucking size 9 jeans and they're still snug. Do I look like a size 11? In Vigoss land a size 11 would be equivilant to a size 30 jean. That's so wrong. I thought that the company was supposed to make the women feel GOOD about themselves by making the jeans larger so that the lady thinks she's a size 5 or something when she's actually a size 7. THAT makes sense. Me squeezing my way into a size 9- makes no sense. I have enough body image issues as it is thank you very much Vigoss.

Fuckers.

So anyhow, Jon and I went to Buffalo Exchange last night and I bought ANOTHER pair of jeans- a size 7.

So there.

We also went to Eastside Records and I bought the Rilo Kiley CD that I don't have- The Execution of All Things. I only listened to it once so far- so I'll let you know later what I think.

Stepping down from that...later last night Frankie and Jordo came over and we played video games. And drank wine. And yummy home-made vodka. From real potatos. Not really, but Frankie did manage to turn Prestige into something drink-able and actually quite yummy.

Nintendo Wii Sports is so much fun with 4 people- esp. tennis. It was a good time. They also brought over some spinach and artichoke dip that they made and it was awesome. For some reason Jordan and I decided to go for a walk at like 2:30am and it was 20 degrees outside...probably. I really didn't notice too much though, Yay for being drunk!

So, this brings me to this morning. It's 4pm and I'm still in my 'jamies. I have no plans for today- except to mop the kitchen because Frankie dropped a beer and now it's sticky. Other than that maybe I'll work some more on the scarf I am knitting for Jon.

And maybe take a nap.
