Pointless drivel
It's day 5 of 5.
I took off two days after Christmas- giving me a five day weekend. I have to go back tomorrow, but I will only have two days of work, then the weekend again.
Christmas was good this year- got pretty much everything I wanted, including a sewing table, several sewing books, the awesome jacket from American Eagle that I wanted, and clothes from Delia's and Alloy. An especially noteable gift: Pinky and the Brain on DVD. They're exactly how I remember them- awesome!
Jon and I exchanged gifts on Christmas Eve morning and pretended it was Christmas morning- it was absolutely adorable. He got me a Conevac- so now I can 'vac' until my heart's content. I got him the electric acoustic bass he wanted- and he was surprised! I was sure that he saw it coming, I guess I'm a good actress after-all.
So I'll be spending today and this weekend preparing for the New Year's party. It will be quite a blow out. My mom got me a cookbook strictly for parties and entertaining, and I found several recipes that I'll be using for the party. I'm excited. I've decided that I mildly enjoy cooking. Between that and all of the sewing I've been doing I am becoming quite the Suzy-Homemaker.
Today it's off to Target for a lamp for my sewing table, and to the mall to shop for Jessica, Jon's sister's, birthday present.
