TV show pimping!
I'm watching a new Discovery docu-reality show thing called American Treasures. God help me I'm feeling fannish for a reality show.
It's two smoking hot young archeology professors traveling around the country (mostly the South it seems) investigating all these random objects people find in their attics, like a gun supposedly belonging to a famous outlaw and clothes belonging to Bonnie and Clyde. Which is not all that different from other shows of this style, except the two guys are quite obviously really good friends, and the show is more focused on their bantering and adventures than anything else. They're supposed to be investigating the antique gun, but they drop it off with a gun expert and instead they head off to a historical reenactment society, dressing up like goofballs and having a shooting contest while smack-talking each other. :D
Sadly, my main thought while watching it is, "This would make a fantastic J2 AU." Or a SPN AU, for that matter. Plus I ship the two professors themselves.
But, unexpected bonus, the show tipped me to the existence of an Old West historical reenactment town located only about an hour from me! *contemplates filming location*
