this morning, i woke up at 7.30 so i could get to a school downtown at 9.30 to give three back-to-back sessions to the most adorable 3-year-olds on the planet. i had to lug an actual suitcase + a backpack + an additional plastic bag full of toys and materials with me the whole way, and then book it back to school to squeeze in a quick lunch and still make it for a 2.45pm diagnostic session on time. then it was scoring till 3.45, and prep for a fourth client at 4pm (who is seriously the highlight of my week, oh my god, she is the loveliest and i adore her to the moon and back), and then back to scoring till 6pm, when i had to go endure the most pointless class on the planet. during that time, i finished up the final drafts of all my paperwork from last week's client sessions, and am now, at 8.30pm, starting to work on paperwork for this week's client sessions. i might not get done for another hour, and then there's more prep to do for tomorrow's session once i get home.
that said, i got two little people hugs today, and got a little closer to puzzling some of their issues out, and got to see my adorable 4pm client make the most mindblowing progress, and--
it's crazy, and it's hard, and i don't know if i'm ever going to sleep or have clean clothes till december, but it'll all be worth it in the end.
