i got all my wisdom teeth out yesterday. i'm getting through it better than people told me i would! so far i've had the one painkiller they fed me before surgery yesterday, and that's it. i heard more horror stories than survivor stories so i feel good adding mine to the latter pile :D ( Read more... )

hahaha i'm glad the wisdom teeth extraction went well! i've heard plenty of horror stories so much so that i really hope mine don't grow out.

lol about the getting punched thing.

pretend your liquid food is solid food, maybe you can jedi mindtrick yourself into feeling full? this is not a joke, it actually works for me... sometimes. either that or i convince myself im full until i forget about it. you know my memory.

all the best for friday!!! im sure you'll ace it <3

i actually didn't hear that many horror stories until i started talking to people/friends outside my family! maybe it's just that my family has really good luck hahah.

i'm swelling a bit now but i still don't look like i got punched ):

jedi mindtricks don't seem to work, unfortch, but i've just been eating loads of ice cream and more potatoes and peanut butter whenever i get hungry and it's helping a bit more. and starting tomorrow i should be able to have more solid food, YESSSSSSSS :D

I keep meaning to get mine out, but the dentist is like, the one thing that turns me into a crying 5 year old child, so no. :x How was it going under GA for that? Like, were you in the chair or?

I'm glad you 're not in much pain though! Hopefully it'll get better soon!

oh my god i have had the worst run of luck with dentists so if you ever decide to do it, i definitely recommend dr juliet tay from the iosc. she's awesome, really sweet and gentle and reassuring. she made me feel totally safe and at ease and always made sure i knew she was putting my comfort first.

going under ga was fine too! i went under so quickly we didn't even get to count backwards. i don't even remember passing out, lmfao. i was in the chair and her anesthetist - just as lovely as her - talked to me the whole time and was just really chill and friendly about it! they gave me a painkiller just before the procedure and i haven't had to take anything since! it's a little uncomfortable at times but it's really more sore than anything and the worst part is definitely the constant hunger because soft foods are NOT FILLING D:

but the 5-7 day mc totally makes up for it, i'd think! :D
