Summary: Arthur is relatively sure that Bear Gryllis has never had to deal with anything like the world’s most aggravating baby dragon when he was out surviving in the wilderness. Merlin thinks that Arthur has taken the whole “magic reveal” thing pretty damn well, which might have something to do with Merlin saving Arthur’s life just now when the helicopter crashed. The dragon thinks they’re both idiots.

Review:
Dragons! What more can I say? This is a fast-paced and fun modern AU, with Arthur and his magical PA Merlin stranded in the mountains after a helicopter crash of suspicious origin. They end up taking refuge in a cave, and taking care of a precocious baby dragon and foiling an evil plot being perpetrated by the very company they work for, Pendragon Power. There are some interesting magical politics in this universe, and Merlin and Arthur are simply darling in this story. I would've had liked a little more exploration of British society in this AU, but that's just because I think that the world that misswinterhill is really cool (Harry Potter is "a gritty, determined look at the challenges facing young magic users in today’s society." What is there *not* to love?) Draco the baby dragon is absolutely precious and I just wanted to eat her up with a spoon. If you like some "stranded in the wilderness" to go with your "adopt a precocious child/cute thing" with a heaping dose of DRAGONS and ADVENTURE, click the link below. :)
