Review:
Draco wakes up in another reality-a reality where he is and always has been a Gryffindor and Harry Potter is a Slytherin.

This is a truly intriguing alternate reality fic. It’s always interesting to see what one alteration in the fabric of time could change, and Mahaliem does not let the reader down. The really intriguing thing is that, for the most part, all the characterizations are just as they are in the novels. But because of changed loyalties in the war everyone’s perceptions of people are just a bit skewed.

Mahaliem is one of the best comedic writers in fandom, primarily because she doesn’t sacrifice plot for humor. Malfoy is just stunning in this, full of biting sarcasm and impossible schemes. Ron is just good-natured enough to be likable, and Hermione is just nice enough to completely avoid being the know-it-all, both of which can be difficult to find in fandom.

My favorite moment in this is near the end. It’s the ‘meeting’ of alt-Harry and alt-Draco. Somehow Mahaliem was able to make it feel like the end of “Heaven Can Wait.” Except, in a way it’s even better. Truly a great read, even if you aren’t the biggest Harry/Draco fan out there.
