Today, no one is is the middle of a epic meltdown which is nice.
I was dragged outside and made to participate in shoveling the driveway. It snowed two days ago, so I'm not sure how we've gotten away with not shoveling prior to today. Now I'm hibernating in my room listening to music and enjoying a can of soda. I can hear my parents yelling about the Jets game (I feel like someone is always yelling about the Jets, and we're not even Jets fans).
The snow from two days ago was nice. It was the first real snowfall we've had here in southern NY this season. I'm hoping for a white Christmas (we don't actually get those very often), but it's supposed to rain so the snow will probably be gone. I went for a walk while it was snowing, which was so nice. It was really quiet and peaceful and I was really the only person around. Well, except for the plow that kept crossing my path. I took some snow pictures:

Preparing to brave the storm:
It actually wasn't that bad outside.
Our house:
The snow plow that nearly ran me over on several occasions and locations throughout the neighborhood:
The plows around here do a TERRIBLE job.

Because I am a five year old, I decided to write my name in the snow. Kaitlin wasn't going to fit, so I went with Katie:
And this was the view today:
Tomorrow I really need to do my Christmas shopping, which is going to suck. The mall will be tons o'fun this week.
I also found out that the day after I get back from London is going to be my baby cousin Nicholas' Christening. I don't think my sister is going because she'll be back at school in Boston, and my mom told me I don't have to go if I don't want to (since I'll be experiencing jet lag and whatnot). I am adamant about going because this is the cousin NO ONE TOLD ME ABOUT and I am going to see him, goddammit! Also, I'm going to want to talk about my trip to everyone within earshot/shake everyone down for money towards my DR trip. Plus, on my dad's side of the family I am the golden child and I can do no wrong in their eyes. I'm the oldest grandchild and for some reason the whole family thinks I am a super-genius. It's great. So yeah, I am going to this event is what I'm saying.
Also, Christmas is this week, and I can't wait to get my new iPod! Otherwise I just want Christmas to end because it is always a disaster (we don't go anywhere and we're all stuck in the house all day with each other and clearly this is a terrible idea) and because once Christmas is over I am in the home stretch to London Trip 2009! WHEE!
