Thank you very much. I like conspiracies and plots, and layers of things working that few people know much about. And I wanted the church to be the good guys for once -- although you could argue whether what they are doing is actually good or if blatantly challenging the status quo would be better.

Thanks! I like adding just a little bit more for others to play with, see how they interpret and work with each facet. That's what is so fascinating about this universe.

Ooo, I love this! PT's universe is just fascinating and it's wonderful to see other people playing in it.

I love all of the quotes from the Bible regulating slavery. See kids? The Bible says some horrible things... so stop saying God hates gays. If we believed every single thing the Bible said we'd also own slaves and condemns eating bunnies.

Are you planning on writing more of this? I love your stories. *g* I'm still crossing my fingers for more SCUTS fic someday.

I don't know about her doing more of this one, but I can say with confidence that there's about 20K of SCUTS in revision currently.

Awesome! It's good to see the church doing something against slavery--the church as an institution and not just outlier denominations.

Thanks! I really wanted to see an objection on religious grounds, and since this universe is so dependent on money, I needed a church with plenty of financial resources. It would be interesting to see what happens the more money they invest in the system -- plots for other fic I suppose.
