Allergy Test and Other Going-Ons

Jul 21, 2006 08:44

I have an allergy test at 9:30 this morning. Looking forward to it because I am sick and tired of breaking out in rashes due to a reaction to an (or many) unknown substance(s).

I would like to take a grammar class to "refresh" but there are none available! Well, none for adults anyway and I can't foresee myself sitting in the back of a high-school classroom.

This morning, I had the best tasting savory scone I have ever had. The chain bakery is dangerously located all over town and even outside of Cleveland. *wahhh!!!*

Noah has been extra conscientious on the house lately. Looks like he is dying to move out of here to Columbus. Work-woes - he hates being face-to-face with selected colleagues and believes it will all be resolved once he moves and works offsite. The kitchen counter-top is finally tiled (it's nice!), he has torn down the room structure in the basement and the warping wood paneling *ugly!*. The only major thing left is to sand and stain the kitchen wood floor (which he laid down by himself btw) and then we will be left with minor stuff like overall cleaning, some exterior accent painting, and further organizing our things so it is ready for open house. I am amazed at my husband sometimes for his ability to learn new things if he puts his mind to it. It may take him longer than others because he has a slight fear of commitment to projects and because he is a perfectionist when he starts on something. But he sho' can get stuff done when he wants to. (Ah-ha!)

I plan to take Naia to the rec pool on Sunday. Was looking for one of those floating rings for her to sit in while in the deeper end of the pool but could not locate one online so I thought I would have to go to the baby or department store which I was not looking forward to. But as I was doing grocery shopping at this discount supermarket, I saw a pile of float sets that had 5 sets of age-appropriate pieces for kids 1-5 for $8.99! How lucky was I?? So I grabbed a box and raved about it to Noah when I got home. He knows that I am a huntress for bargains so he does not sweat me too much about shopping. *CHEESE*
