In which people don't get my humor in chat
I don't believe everyone gets my humor. I was trying to be silly, nice, and funny in Tinychat today, for Chris Colfer fans. I've never done it before, but I saw the invite, and went for it, thinking, "YAY! I will get to chat with some fellow fans!"
I don't chat very often, especially with random people not apart of HiH, other comminuties I'm apart of, or close friends, so I was jumping out of my comfort zone just a bit. I do love talking to people, and discussion, so I was all for it!
Everything seemed to be going fine. They all knew each other there, but they were friendly, and kind of fun to talk to.
Then this one girl came in. They were excited to see her.
She saw me, and asked, "Who are you?"
I said, "Oh! I'm new here! You can call me Luna!"
She was on her Web Cam at this point, and looked like I was boring her. She then introduced herself, and said, "...and I like to punch things really hard, for the fun of it."
Me: *thinking* 0_o
Me: "Sounds like fun?"
Things got better for a while, and chat was pleasant.
Later on, she had a piece of paper taped to her nose, (not sure why, tbh), and she asks everyone, "Why do I still have this on my nose?"
My answer: "Fashion statement? =D"
...and she stared at the screen like I told her I killed her cat, and chat died for a bit D=
I think they think I'm a bitch =(
I in NO WAY tried to offend anyone, and I'm not really sure what happened. I made an excuse after a bit, and just left.
Oh well. =) To cheer things up, watch this from the musical The Book of Mormon!
