I don't what it is, exactly, about this kind of weather; I love it, it makes me happier than I can reasonably express. It also fires up my imagination...which is part of the problem.
See, there'z something about it...I'm sitting in a coffeeshop right now with my laptop, looking out at the sun and working on my comic.
My sci-fi comic. My--let's be honest--my wish-fulfillment fantasy comic. Kanira Baxter is very much the universe I wish I lived in, the universe I thought I was promised by the year 2000 from the moment I was old enough to speak. Unisex skin-tight jumpsuits with stylized planets and comets on 'em, spaceships, robots, meals that come in a pill, anti-grav elevators, the works...I was promised ALL of this before I hit age 25, and the only one I've gotten so far is my video phone. Mind you, I LOVE being able to chat with people via Skype video, but STILL...I was promised more.
Days like this...somehow they make my heart sick for those promises on which the world has seen fit to renege. I'm lovin' this weather, but...I wanna live like Star Wars meets The Jetsons, dammit! *grump* I was born way the hell to damn early.
