Tomorrow (well today -- THURSDAY) marks the beginning of the North By Northeast Music Festival. I cover the event every year by taking photos and writing little blurbs. This year is the same, except I'll be working with Gemma. I spent tonight at a schmooze party where I saw Lara, an old friend from Ryerson who dropped out to pursue a music career. On top of that I saw a publicist I used to work with. Then I remembered that I interviewed one of her bands and never wrote it in an article...so afterwards I avoided her.
Anyhow, the festival is always a lot of fun, a lot of music, and I'm already ready for it to finish by Saturday (the closing night). This year they're making me work at Blockbuster, so I have no idea if I'll even get to see closing night. I think I might fake my death and in turn cancel my Blockbuster shift.
