still ill..
ok went to see the doctor today bc my voice hasn't come back and now i apparently have an inflammation in my vocal cords.. solution: don't speak. DON'T SPEAK?!! how in the hell am i going to that!?! i'm a social addict, i have to be able to talk to my friends!! so i try not to speak as much as i usually do, but i still think that our good doctor would want me to shut the fuck up even more efficiently. oh gosh. at the moment i feel quite ill.. :(
and now i'm not able to start my pro gradu-diploma work in univ as we had planned ahead. bugger.. i was already waiting for it! going to lab and stuff. they have already put my fungi to a growthroom :) there my little babies are sitting and growing and waiting for me to come to work. hopefully i will survive this and get a chance to start working next week.
our friends just came back from a trip to UK &Ireland where they had been travelling for two weeks. so immediately we had to go to a pub to meet them with a pint of english beer infront of us, except me as i don't drink beer and bc i have a cold i drank hot chocolate - with mint liqueur of course!. scotland was the best(whitney! u lucky bastard..)they said, especially the small towns upnorth. but i really had to leave back home quite soon 'cos i had talked too much during the day and i started to feel exhausted.. :(
my best friend sanna (notice anything alike with the name?!) is leaving to africa for 3 months tomorrow, she'll be doing her practical period for studies there. so we had a farewell party for her on friday. oh we had fun... had long conversations with my best friends, i just totally love them! i'm so happy i have my friends, and i just can't wait for sanna to return home! but i'm very happy for her, it's a great opportunity. we have been talking with miika about moving abroad sometime in the future.. but i better do my masters first, as i only have like a year and a half to go to complete it. i have some stupid stuff with the studies ahead of my, 'cos i'm a bit forced to change my main subject from environmental ecology to microbiology bc i want to do my diploma work in a research group in microbiology department, but bc those departments are in different faculties the change is more difficult and i have to make quite a lot of paperwork to make it happen.
