Today I was going to resume my NEVER-ENDING JOB SEARCH but alas, food poisoning. .-.
So instead I watched Metropolis. And like, half of Angel's Egg. I've been wanting to see Phantom of the Opera but the movie place down the street doesn't seem to have it. orsomeoneelsehasitidk /shrug
Also, I was looking at stuff on TV Tropes about Osamu Tezuka, and um... it finally hit me just how awesome his Star System concept is. Basically, it's that the characters are all "actors" and can be cast in different roles in different stories. Apparently they used to actually do this in Hollywood. Actors would be part of a studio, and they'd do movies for that studio.
WAnDER was supposed to kind of draw from that. Originally when I came up with the concept, the story was meant to focus on the guests to the hotel rather than the people working there. The guests would be all my old characters whose original storylines never played out, or who were meant as RP characters. But I never really kept character designs, and when the focus shifted to the main group of four the guests ended up not getting developed.
(Which is bad! Like, I plan to start making character sheets for the people who are going to be guests in WAnDER. There's a lot of stuff that I hadn't thought of that I'm realizing is necessary for it to not suck. But the point of making it was to go through the process, to figure out how it goes and to learn from it, and still get a finished story out of it at the end. (Do I say that every time...? OTL) I also need to draw layouts for Ryobi's shop (and decide what's in his epic mess...) and the hotel, so that they look 1. good and 2. consistent.)

I am just a nerd, though. ,__, Last night I was talking to a friend of mine from high school. She dropped out of the program she was taking at college because she had some problems and realized it wasn't what she wanted to do with her life. Now she's got a job and a place down south (from where we grew up) and a boyfriend. In short, she's all grown up.
And I just have deteriorating social skills and to reapply for second year VC. .-.;
