I am glad to be back as well...I have missed you as well. I will try not to cut myself off again if depressed. Gav and I both have promised this, it is a bad habit we have.
Email me? I'm not sure if I have your proper phone still...
if a fit of insanity inspires you to head north and aim inverness-wards, I'm up here except for this coming weekend in edinburgh. hopefully, though you'll get to see lots of shinies in the south.
I am sorry we didn't suffer from insanity this trip...or at least not that specific incarnation thereof, heh.
We will be trying to get to Edinburgh for goodly amounts of fake-battle related fun next time. If, as we hope, I am over in the next year, we can make more definite plans.
So glad to hear you're still alive! And in Scotland for a whole month? That's wonderful!
(I get to visit my far-away love at the end of October...but he's in South Dakota. Not as exotic or romantic as Scotland, but he's enough to make up for it.)
Long-distance things are dreadful, but if that is where one's love is...not too much choice in the matter, hm? The whole other country thing adds another level of dreadful. I hope you and yours get much time together as well!
I am so happy to hear from you :) I didn't even know you were in Scotland, but I'm glad you are still able to make it there and find some respite!
Not having a computer is liberating in a way...except of course when it's your primary way of keeping in touch with people!
I hope we can catch up soon...I feel mortified by this, but I neglected your birthday completely! It's hard to believe how fast this spring/summer have gone!

but I'm plotting much nefarious planning, involving flodden in 2013, living history, and shinies galore.

It was liberating, but I used the time to be rather depressed and disconnected. I need to use the time better, if I must have technical woes.
Will try to catch up soon...
