Unhappy Things:
♠ Computer is broken. Again. Not the same thing, and the memory is secured, but that is why I have not really been online much of late. Still not fixed, but then, I have no money, so that isn't surprising. It will not even get to the bios screen so I can't run a new boot disc. But, I have fraggedone's computer for email and emergencies.
♠ Car is broken. Has been revving during the idle and stalling. It is being worked on right now. Grarr.
♠ Job is still wretched and further away than is good, since gas prices are getting higher.
Happy Things:
♠ hairyscotsman just called. He was watching kids get out school, and wondered what we had decided on for names for our first son and daughter. Seriously, I tell you, getting a call like that could cheer me out of damn near anything. Oh, and we had settled on Rowan Margaret Adams for the girl and Robert MacKenzie-or-Fraser Adams for the boy, if you were curious.
♠ The current countdown to the visit is approximately 48 days. We will be getting the ticket and exact date next week. Eeeek! This is why I am spending two hours a day on the elliptical machine. The only time I let myself watch Doctor Who is on my MP3 player at the gym!
♠ The Noir Leather 25th Anniversary Gala was fantastic last weekend. While there, I ran into the owner of Mephistos, one of the clubs I had applied at for bartending. He called me over and told me one of his guys had lost my contact info, and got my number again then, so he could call this week. Which would help out the money situation hugely. And, Zombie Luau this weekend with Hells Belles. Detroit has a really grand goth/industrial/fetish scene. Who would have thought. *grin*
