So I got one of my birthday presents early. I had been wanting to find it for a while, and even more so since we had seen the new movie. Well Alice looked it up on Ebay and ordered it for me. Perfect condition and she got it for $7, when it goes for $30 to $40 on Amazon and other places. This was really a big deal for me. When I was kid, my dad bought the album and played it for me. It was first realeased June 1978 in the UK. I was about 6 almost 7 when my dad got his copy of it. We listened to the first CD last night. It was very nostalgic. I couldn't help but think about my dad and the memories we shared of listening to this awesome work. Anyway, Justin Hayward of the Moody Blues composed the music and sings a couple of the songs. Richard Burton does the voice of the Journalist. There's about four other voice actors and a couple of them also sing songs on it. Its basicly a sumarized version of the story with music and some sound effects. Its very cool. The music is 70 style rock. Back when synth was still new. A fantastic blend of orchestra, synth, and electric guitar. It also comes with an illustrated book with script and lyrics. I also managed to get the album my mother had in her possession. But its just a larger cersion of the CDs. We don't have a turn table so it became somewhat urgent for me to get the CDs. So I'm pretty happy with it. Very excited and can't wait to listen to the rest of it.
