I fucking love my timecode vinyl.
The idea is that you stick a particular vinyl on your turntable, and then plug the turntable in to the PC. The vinyl contains a carrier wave such that the PC can then deduce, via some clever software, wherabouts on the vinyl is playing at any given time. Then, you can play an mp3 on the PC and control it with the turntable. It's really very cool indeed.
Since it's all in software, you can control video with it too. I am currently scratching the Hackers film.
