So we had to go to see the grandparents today. It was akward, as usual. There was an ass-load of people there, most of them Jack's son's frat boyfriends. They made me uncomfortable. And Pat made fun of me a whole bunch. But there were good brownies.
Eventually Evan and I just retreated to the basement and made fun of Granny's books. There was one telling people how to write letters for different occasions. It gave such good advice as: When consoling someone who has had a stillborn child, don't say 'It's okay, it's not like you lost a real child.' Blast! I've been telling everyone that stillborn children are fake. The book also tried to be politically correct by using 'ethnic' names, like Theobold Pontifex and Hsuang Tsang (Who I think was a Mongol warlord who died in battle).
There was another book that answered a bunch of random questions that no one would ever have thought to ask. For example:
Question: What did Cardinal Richelieu, Prime Minister under Louis XIII, do for exercise?
Answer: Jump over furniture.
Alrighty then...
Evan offered to have me stay at his house next weekend. It'll be awesome if it happens, 'cause we'll go shopping and shyat. And I may achieve my somewhat lifelong goal of getting All Stars. Wheeeeeee!
