Hey guys! Now that I’ve survived the 35 hour travel day from hell (after kicking a copious amount of glorious ass at Worlds), all the mods are together again. Which means party time it’s time to get down to business.

I've read the whole article about roleplaying on LJ vs. roleplaying on DW before, and after rereading it again now, it seems really nice ( Specifically: generally cheaper for paid accounts, uploading multiple icons at once, longer posts, etc). You know, just very easy. Although something that could be a little annoying is how on DW there aren't notifications on your site inbox for comments made outside your journal (personally I use my email for notifications so that doesn't bother me at all, but other people might find this a little irksome!! Dang. But that is something for people to look at before they decide ( ... )

Ohh I didn't know about that either. I don't use my email, I only use my lj inbox.
Worrying.

If we do move to DW and you have to start working from your email, having a notifier is very helpful. Depending on which one, they blink, make noise, and give a small pop-up when you have new emails.

For Firefox there is the Web Mail Notifier (I don't really know how it works exactly though! I don't use this) which is basically an all in one for most e-mail names. You can also just go here and just search you e-mail provider like yahoo, gmail, etc and see if there are checkers for just them.

You can find some in the Chrome webstore too. Unfortunately my internet is being poop and won't let me look them up so :(.

I use the firefox one and you can set how often it checks and stuff and it'll make a noise and have a little popup for you whenever it checks and you have new emails-- so if you miss the notif, it won't beep the next x minutes later because as far as it's concerned you should know how many you have. HOWEVER you can move a little icon next to your url or search bar and it shows how many emails you have total across your email accounts?

idk I like it but to each his own? you can also pin your email tabs as app tabs and then they highlight when you have new emails too.
