the Story:
It took Sirius a few minutes to come to Lily's new room with a basket of two sandwiches and some chips. Pickles too of course. He'd found that sandwiches were easier to make then something big, and besides, he'd had the mansion make the two slices of chocolate cake that were hidden in the bottom and the juicy drinks.
Hooking the basket under his arm he knocked evenly. Really, Sirius had no idea what Lily was thinking. All he knew was that one of his best mates was back. He'd missed her, and was glad to have any time with her. Especially if it was time away from Snape. The old grease-ball would probably poison her mind with lies about how James and the others had done nothing to help, which was a lie. They'd done their best to take care of one another and look out for any trouble while trying to get back. They were trying to change the future, something the even older grease-ball had actually appreciated. This one just wanted to lie to Lily and stay here where she didn't hate him. He wanted to not pay for his own malicious mistake. The thought of it made Sirius feel ill.
