Insect Collection!

Hey everyone! :)

I just joined this community today, although I've been checking it out every so often for awhile. I'm currently in university majoring in zoology, but am hopefully switching to entomology in the near future. In a course that I'm taking this coming year (insect biosystematics), I need an insect collection of approximately 300 species. I've decided that I should probably get going on that now-ish, but I've never had to pin an insect collection. For previous classes, we just kept our specimens in vials of ethanol, but I believe for the future course they need to be pinned.

I own "How to Know Insects" and I've been reading up on how to go about this endeavour... but I don't have the supplies needed, like the pins or an airtight box. I live in Toronto, Ontario, and I was wondering (by chance) if anyone knew a store in the area where I can find the materials to start my insect collection?
Does anyone have any suggestions of even what kind of store I should look for? I looked in the yellowpages under scientific supplies, but those stores just sell microscopes and balances and technological things. I'm not sure where else to go with this, or who to ask... so I thought I'd give it a shot over here. :)

Thanks so much! :)
