mothers day

so it's kinda sad.
i don't really have a mother to spend the day with.
and i don't have any family i could substitute her with.
of course, i do have my dad and stepmom. which could work, if i was on good terms with them.
all i really want right now is for everything to be how it used to be,
for my mother to be my best friend and confidante,
and for her words of wisdom to be in the back of my mind throughout every step i take in life.
but now it's not that way.
and i have to admit,
i'm kinda sad.
