Mess Hall - Day 34 - closed/unfinished
Coming off a quiet shift in Engineering, Robert was looking forward to the buzz of activity and potential conversations he'd no doubt find in the mess hall. A ship of four-hundred could never be absolutely quiet, after all, and he had a knack for finding good conversations. Or at least good people to talk to. Whether or not he failed at the conversation was another matter entirely. Sometimes he was just a little too everywhere.
After getting his dinner, complete with brownie, he looked around, seeking out that perfect person for today. No, no, saw her yesterday, he hates me, no... Aha!
His attention had fallen on the charming Captain's Yeoman. Cute and blonde, he'd seen her around, especially on the bridge, but hadn't really talked to her. And now was his chance.
Stepping up beside the table she was at, he asked, "Is this seat taken?"
