Gah, I'm tired. I fell asleep in ACT Prep again today. Just so sleepy...must...have...nap...zzzzzzz....
I'm kidding, I'm perfectly awake. Just worn out. It's been a fairly normal day, nothing in particular going on. The trumpet sextet got bitched at today (bleagh), but because I'm the only one who knows the whole thing (when we play it together, it sounds like a particularly ear-splitting traffic jam with a policeman trying to direct the cars, but the cars just don't LISTEN), we have been given a reprieve: We don't have to play at Solo And Ensemble, but we have to play at the spring concert, which is in May. I'm praying that Miss B will just forget about it.
Which is highly unlikely.
But I'm taking the 7 AM bus to Cadillac with everyone else anyway. There are a couple people I want to hear play, and then
instantchaos is kidnapping me and holding me hostage at her house. Possibly for cuppycakes. ;)
I also started a painting today. I might post a picture of it when I'm finished.
Otherwise, I had a SoBe Fruit Punch today (nirvana), excavated some of the clothing and books that lay in a muddle on my floor, worked on my screenplay, and received a lovely book of Eagles music for trumpet. *claps* Normally I'm not a fan of the Eagles, but it'll be interesting to hear what the songs sound like played on the trumpet. And my mother should be thrilled. :P
*coughs* In other news, I received an very interesting compliment today. It was odd, honestly. But it's a compliment all the same.
In History class today, my friend J1 (Josh) was making me laugh about something J2 (James), a friend of mine who doesn't attend the same school as me, said in an email. (J2 (James) is an absolute dork, and pretty much anything he says sends 90% of the surronding population into fits of giggles.) So we were slacking off there in the middle of the classroom, laughing like total idiots and choking on our own hysterics, and my acquantince-friend J3 (John) (good God, why must I know so many Js? It's so confusing!), who is an exchange student from London, said out of the blue: "Wow, Emily, you have a pretty laugh."
J1 (Josh): *gives J3 (John) a strange look*
Me: *stops laughing and stares at J3 (John)* "What?"
J3 (John): "I'm serious. You have a really cute laugh. You giggle a lot and it sounds quite cute."
Me: "Um..."
J1 (Josh): *continues to stare*
Me: "Thank you? That's really sweet..."
J3 (John): *smiles and goes back to his homework*
Um. All right then. That was a little freaky. Not that I don't appreciate the compliment, but people do not generally walk around telling other people that they think their laugh is cute. And J3 (John) has a girlfriend too, so I really can't help but think, "What, you don't like your girlfriend's laugh?" I'm confused. *scratches head thoughtfully*
Hiippakunta te myöhempi...and NEON GLITTER PAINT!
