"A Samurai Does Not Run Through the Rain"

I debated whether or not to hit the gym last night, after a week-plus absence occasioned by the move and the test. It was raining in that sort of slight will-sapping drizzle that is perfect for curling up inside with a book. Ultimately I figured if a little rain could stop me, that didn't exactly bode well for my willpower. So I went.

Glad you went.

If drizzle makes you not want to go out, you need a better raincoat.

The good thing about going to the gym on the way to work is that I know I have to go out anyway. Gym never conflicts with comfort.

How far is it, or how long does it take to walk?

I like walking in drizzle. Of course, a lot of that has to do with where I live. I suspect that if I were living in, say, the northwest, I'd get really sick of drizzle.

Mostly it was just the gloom of looking out into the wet road and fighting the urge to curl up with a book.

After living there for 17 years I didn't get sick of drizzle.

The drizzle wasn't enough to be anything more than a psychological deterrent. What I need is better rain footwear. Weird - I didn't get any lj notices about these posts!

It takes me probably all of 5-10 minutes to get there.

Okay, here's where I just can't refrain from calling you a big wuss for ever letting this get in your way. It takes 25 minutes to get to my gym and it's up hill both ways, and that's only IF you don't fall into a big hole on your way and have to win a riddle competition with a slimy creature just to get on with the trip.

Some people have it so easy! :P

Heh. I didn't said it actually stopped me, it only made me hesitate. And yes, I am a weather wuss!

I know, and I'm proud of you for going anyway. I guess I was extrapolating to other weeks where you said you only went to the gym once or something, and I inferred, based upon your almost not going this time, that previously it was because you let getting all comfy at home get in your way. But that's a lot of inference on my part.

Anyway, what am I here for if not to badger you about going to the gym? :)
