a bit of sunshine

i've heard that the aerial shots show that my grandparents' houses, my parent's house, and the neighborhood where i worked this summer are all in the A.O.K. fraternity.

Federal relief is finally there, but too little too late (apparently, the Missouri national guard spent the night in Arkansas on the way down the river, and i'm all for beauty sleep, except when THERE'S AN ENTIRE CITY OF DESPERATE, HUNGRY, DYING, and let's not forget angry REFUGEES WAITING FOR ME.)

Bush did a few fly-bys over the city today, and then landed in Biloxi, the cowardly little prick. Nevermind that we supply most of the gasoline to America, nevermind that the city gave billions of dollors to your damn war effort, and nevermind that we're one of the OLDEST cities in the country, historically and patriotically.

i guess we'll just go off now and be our own little third-world pack of coonasses.

This is good: the 5 remaining radiostations in N.O. got together and are broadcasting all the same material. Figuring that no matter what Bush said at his little press conference wasn't gonna mean shit to anybody, they decided not to broadcast it at all, and have all day been taking calls from people in the city, outside and around complaining about the lack of federal aid.

well done indeed.

I've never really had much of an opinion about Bush at all until just recently.
