Fall

I've been home now for over 3 months. I'm still without a real job (not that you can call my current employment a job really) but things have been happening all around me. Some of it even involves me.

I am currently showing off some of my art in a gallery in San Diego. Jessica invited me to join her and her artist friends, so I made a bunch of pinatas. They were a big hit at the opening last night and lots of people were very curious about them. I'm rather pleased by the positive response.

I've started a blog for my translations of Japanese role-playing games. I've got lots of work done on Shinobigami and I just posted the character sheet and the character creation rules. I've been trying to get a game of this going for a long time, but getting 6 people together to play it is really tough.

Mayuko, my fiancee, is in Japan and I've been without her for almost 3 months. It's hard.

Looking for a job sucks; everytime I start to get my hopes up, I get let down. Being told I didn't get the job because I'm overqualified is just as bad as not getting a second interview.

I've been spending more time with my friends in San Diego than anyone else around here. What's up with that?

I won the most recent Warmachines league, getting a cool coin and $10 store credit. It went right into ordering a couple of Malifaux minis that I'm going to convert to David Bowie figs.

Saturday is going to be game day so I hope that I can gather people together for a game of either Shinobigami or Arkham Horror. Anyone?
