Retrobution was fun on Saturday... big crowd. Lots of great songs..one or two cheeseball songs, but that's okay (and that's the point). Overall worth the price of admission (free). I seem to be feeling the lack of industrial/ebm there lately. Spoiled by Schlachthof. Regardless, the Warehouse is entertaining.. nice people, and the tunes are always good in my car for the drive home.
Had family obligations on sunday, so couldn't see Blixa. Sounds like it was something completely unusual.
Yeah, so the Egyptian came to visit me at work today... that was nice. She'd heard I was melancholy, so brought a big bag of choco-covered almonds and a couple hugs. I showed her around; big new machine, met the co-workers.. etc. She asked to climb the tower and was surprised I said 'sure'. She expected we needed safety gear, but I climb up there now and then to look at the view and sway in the wind. Anyhow, she had on impractical footwear, unsuitable for ascending ladders, and opted to get back on the ground. Funny, we climb scary vertical in the mountains all the time, but she's scared to climb a ladder. oh well.. it's a footwear thing.
Went out taking pics recently. I found a cool, illuminated '999' sign on 10th ave.. took a few night shots of that. and behind Nellie's there's a tattered poster of Divine.. in handcuffs no less! Took several b&w shots of it, but haven't developed yet. Maybe a night polaroid would do it justice more effectively. Perhaps wed night I'll try that, if the poster's still up.
