when you're joints don't bend

It's been a minute and when the days are spent with nothing but the hand ticking away the hours of your life you have to sit and wonder if the time that flies ever crossed paths with your mind that is constantly out and about above the cloud.

Wandering minds should be aware that When the altitude reaches a certain height your brain starts to pant as it starts to recognize the thinning oxygen. You would think that since your closer to the heavens than over half of the inhabitants of this world you'd imagine that you'd feel a bit more ensured, safe, and protected when you are but an arms length from God kingdom. But the truth is that the further you go up the more accepting you become to your fate and the harsh reality that all the labor you invested into your garden was for the cloud of locusts that haven't seen a thing to eat since the drought. Why is it that the people that you feel should stand up for you without the need for your consent; the ones that should take the bullet the second they see the barrel staring in your direction; the ones that you thought you could confide in the moment they made you feel as if you could - they always seem to be the ones that you aren't at all that surprised to fall behind enemy lines and surrender up their loyalty and abandon any of their sworn allegiance to your cause and forget about the promises that were never mentioned or spoke of but had you believe in. Maybe this is why the courts ask that you put down your love in writing in front of witnesses because how easily it has become forgotten. But it gets worse when you look at them wondering if their disdain has become so deep rooted that this has all just become a plot to shake you up from the soil and take from you the very soul that they had witnessed as it bloomed into  fruition and became all that they hoped it would be after the long and arduous wait it can be for a seed to burst into life and claim it as their own as if it were nothing more than a weed fucking up thier perfect lawn. People have this unsatisfying quench for power and resources that will never be appeased no matter how many others the defile. But whether they discover this truth or not it never hinders their attempt to try. In fact they seem to try harder and become a lot less reserve when you tell them what they are doing won't help them obtain what it is they are seeking.
