Tuesday: Yesterday was the anniversary of my birth

Oct 05, 2010 22:27

And i don't think much has changed. I'm still me. My cells are largely the same as they were last week, barring the layers of dead skin. My mind has changed little. Rachel has sent me something, and I look forward to it.

As for my temporally based titles, I will stop using such once I have done every day of the week. that leaves Thursday and Saturday.

Resonance of Fate: Steam Punk, bordering on Clock Punk. The story is set on the spire of Basel, which houses platforms miles wide, upon which entire ecosystems have grown and died. Basel is one of the many places in fiction I would rather live in than Earth. The main characters wield guns and grenades, based on and indeed likely exactly the same as, real guns. The game starts with a Colt M1911 and an H&K MP5. The system works as follows: Pistols have low damage potential, but can knockdown and kill enemies, while sub-machineguns inflict a great deal of scratch damage, which is temporary and goes away after a period of time unless Direct damage is inflicted. Using the two in conjunction is the key to winning battles.

And that was more than I was hoping to post.

Ive looked at my grades. I've got several things to work on during the upcoming week: likely 2, definitely one, more paper for Core; 4 assignments for Web Development; a project based on Mood (Terror) for Graphical design, which I will post here when completed; the bibliographies to my two midterm projects as well as the outlines; and nothing for my only business course.

I dazzled my professor last week with in depth knowledge about why the Gameboy succeded while other hand held game systems failed. YOu remember the Gameboy? Squat, gray system, weighed as much as a brick? Capable of surviving fires bomb blasts?

Yeah. I told him of how the gameboy, while not technically impressive, was king due to its insane battery life, upwards of 18 hours. Compare to Sega systems, which could on;y do maybe 3 hours when not plugged in.

Well, tomorrow I bring in the gameboy micro, the last released gameboy advance system.

As for school, I've tripped. Late work and procrastination once again haunt me and my work, but i'm trying to keep the twin daemons at bay. I'm on academic probation, so if I get an F grade in my class, I'm barred from returning next semester/year. Frankly, I'm not sure I want to return next semester/year, but I'm not going to let that keep my grades down. I'd rather quit than be fired. Unless they give severance pay.

Things which I am anticipating: Fallout New Vegas: 19th; Fable 3: 26th; Bakuretsucon: 21st to 24th

Rachel: 5 weeks, 3 days until I hit Milwaukee, another until I get to Beloit.

Meanwhile, I will do as I have been doing and annoying you all every other day.
