[MTM] Murder

[Needs to be vague and ambiguous because of not yet revealed details. *waits impatiently for backstory*]

They called her a murderer. She tried to explain, tried to reason, and no one listened. She learned a lot about the world right there. She learned that you couldn’t count on other people to watch out for you, to listen to you when you tried to explain that you didn’t mean to, didn’t want to. You couldn’t expect people to realize that you were feeling a loss too. That you had lost family just like they had.

Things happen, and sometimes when the shit hits the fan, there’s no going back.

She just started over when she was ostracized, restarting her life and pushing her old life behind. She learned how to get what she wanted, how to manipulate people in her favor and some old slight of hand. She became a thief, and while some tended to just look down their nose at her, she considers it far more noble than the ways things could have gone. She took things, objects. They could be replaced if necessary. She didn’t kill people. She didn’t take things that couldn’t be put back. She didn’t destroy families, just like hers had been destroyed. She didn’t want to cause anyone else that kind of pain, be called a murderer yet again.

And now, as she stared at the news report, letting the information spiral past her-Police station explodes, all dead-she couldn’t help but hear the quiet mantra of ‘murderer’ echoing in her head, reminding her of what she had done, the position she had put the Winchesters in, and the pain that she had just caused. None of them would have been in that position if she hadn’t called the police on Sam and Dean. The Winchesters were now dead because of her. An accident she had never known would happen, but could have been prevented.

And she had a feeling that no one would be understanding all over again.
