10 years ago:
1. I was still angry about moving from Connecticut to Georgia.
2. I rode bikes with the neighborhood kids after school.
3. I began growing breasts and was insanely embarrassed by them.
4. I read at least one book a week.
5. I secretly wanted to be an actress.
5 years ago:
1. I believed that hard work alone could make anything happen.
2. I traveled to Europe for the first time.
3. I stopped believing in Jesus.
4. I wanted to cry when I looked in the mirror.
5. I “went out” with my first boyfriend.
1 year ago:
1. I couldn’t wait to get to England.
2. I decided I wanted a kid someday.
3. I got really really really drunk for the first time.
4. Toured the CIA’s headquarters in Langley, VA.
5. Took Tae Kwan Do classes.
Yesterday:
1. I went shoe shopping with Ahmad & Jing
2. I talked to Brett on the phone.
3. I registered for classes.
4. I missed Lizzie.
5. I wished I could read minds.
Today:
1. I went to the gym and worked hard.
2. I heard my Spanish prof say “honeyfuckle” instead of “honeysuckle” when translating a poem out loud.
3. I made a wish
4. I celebrated Court’s birthday at Loca Luna
5. I watched Aladdin.
Tomorrow:
1. I’m going to vote for the next President of the United States
2. I will organize my life.
3. I will work at Westside Market
4. I will read an insane amount of stuff.
5. I’m going to write a letter.
In 1 year:
1. I will be more confident.
2. I will be planning for grad school in Washington, D.C.
3. I will be in love.
4. I will go to England again.
5. I will be the change I wish to see in the world.
