Let the world domination begin!
I have my computer back. After a month, it's back! $244.58 later, it's back! A new hard drive later, it's back! I am happy. As happy as I can be anyway, after so much hassle and money. But now I get to be on whenever I want, which will be very, very good since it is now UN season and all and research needs to get done. Plus, I have an incredibly comfy new leather swivelly-recliney desk chair to sit on, instead of that crap plastic thing I used to have. Life at this desk is good.
New year's resolutions blow because they need to be followed. 3 days of running, and I'm whipped! My legs hurt. I know that is a good sign and that I need to work through it, but it would be so much easier to quit! Josh won't let me though. And now I'm justifying eating lots of junk food with the fact that I run. So, it works.
Classes aren't horrible. I dropped my English class for History so I could work towards a Foreign Service major. So I have Religion in America, American Colonies, Stats, and UN. It should be quite the semester... UN started last night. I'm on the UNDP for New York. I think I'll like it. There's just going to be a lot of work, which I knew all along so I shouldn't whine too much (but I will anyway). Our first position paper is due Tuesday... And I got suckered into being on the Position Paper committee... I'm such a pushover! I felt really bad for all the new people. After sitting through the first class as a returner, I couldn't believe that anybody goes on! It's horrible. But we've got a lot of really good people new to the team this year, and that's really exciting. Should be a good season!
DH gave me my first work-study task... sorting and organizing all the files and binders and papers in the basement. Horrible! What a mess! What I won't do for money...
