spring break is ooover unfortunately. it was semi-productive.. in an i-consider-watching-anime-productive sort of way :D. i really need to start making journal entries with smaller intervals in between because this way i forget everything that happened a few days ago. i remember there being a party at squee's place.. with a cutely drunk kalyan, much karaoke revolution, and banana pepper deep dish pizza. it was fun, that it was. i didn't drink of course because of having to drive. it was nice having a few people there (namely, steph) who were sober because i'd feel weird being the only one. i also remember many a shout of "MC DAN ALLEN YEE-UH!" and some gropage of stephanie's boobies (and it wasn't just me :D). hehe.. good times. i also watched huckabees recently. it was quite an interesting movie. i enjoyed mark wahlberg and jude law (whose fake american accent was so cute). i also enjoyed the music.
why are my hands greasy-feeling? ick.
i thought i'd have more to write but obviously i do not. and so, i leave you with this beautiful exerpt from a letter i just recieved :). i'm so surprised and happy about this, even if i know i probably won't be attending duke. it just feels nice to finally accomplish something.
Dear Vedrana:
Congratulations! The Admissions Committee and I take great pleasure in offering you a place in the Duke University Class of 2009. We are delighted to give you the opportunity to become part of the Duke community.
You should be extremely proud of your achievements. Your many successes in and outside of the classroom have earned you a place among the world's best students. The competition this year was extraordinarily keen ・we received more than 18,000 applications for just 1,660 places in the first-year class...
...
...You have my warmest congratulations on your admission to Duke. The faculty and I look forward to having you among us this fall.
Sincerely,
Christoph Guttentag
