- I have a few things floating around my head from the conference to talk about. One is perhaps that, although I hear lots of complaints in academia about the tedium about writing grant proposals, the act of sitting down and concisely formulating the background and goals of a piece of your work is really an excellent project management skill, if you think of it that way.
- Since the conference knocked out the last running day of last week, and I was already having trouble with the pattern, I've been continuing this week on the same pattern. Saturday was really tough, as I made the mistake of running in the hottest part of the day. I don't think I'm very good at heat processing. Monday was much better; I think after tomorrow I'll be ready to move on. Three 5 minute intervals of running... actually almost sounds easier than the 3-5-3-5 I'm doing now.
- I'm reading Mansfield Park now via DailyLit. I love reading Austen. It's the... precise delicate vivisection of social interaction, yet there's still an involvement with the characters.
- I also started playing Phoenix Wright, Ace Attorney. OBJECTION!
- The last two items need to be held in check, however, as I have an hour seminar to write up for presentation on Friday. Eek!
