Ah Loy's Thai
Michelle's recommendation for Ah Loy's Thai's thai food was so great and irresistible that I dragged Chris there today! And true to her word, it was really cheap and good! YAY recommend me more cheap and good food! haha :)
They had very little variety and choice to select from, but ahh who cares. They had my favourite phat-thai!! + fish maw soup! Haha the pictures at mich's blog were too good to resist. Hmm although I have to comment that Chris' glass noodles dish tasted exactly the same. Only with different selection of noodles.
Unfortunately, I only remembered the good part about her recommendation, but forgot her warning against the desserts!!
Chris went to order it and I remembered it a little too late.
BLEAHHHHH michelle you are right! The dessert sucked. I wanted to smack myself for forgetting such an important detail. Chis was rather grumpy that he wasted money on the yucky tasteless red ruby that was really terrible. Thank goodness it was only one portion of dessert.
So we decided to go for Ben&Jerry's free cone day!! (ok I think my friends are going to kill me since i practically proclaimed that I didn't want the free cone cos I wanted to study and that it was way to inconvenient. Apologies!!)
He was so reluctant to queue!! Thankfully, they were giving out ice-cream in the paper cups around (instead of the cones) so we took them and we didn't queue! Yay! +)
oh and I donated $2 to the charity they were helping!! So technically its not free. BUT OMG(!) I ACTUALLY DONATED MONEY!!
I usually, no correction. I DON"T donate money. call me 'niao'. So donating something like 2 dollars is a remarkable feat of mine. HAHA.
Besides, I decided that I needed some good karma since I've been so evil-ly mean so far. *sarcasm*
