Dear GOD Engram. The One? Every time I read it I'm torn between complete cringe worthyness and laughing like a hysterical loon (mainly the latter, probably because I am a loon). Anyway, awesome start. I love your commentary as usual and can't wait to see how The One get's on when Molly has kidlets...
I believe that I said in another update for another TS3 family that there would be much cringing and facepalming when I do the big reveal with the NLC3 legacy naming scheme. I need to get a bit more into the voice of The One. So far he is entirely too nice and not self centred nearly enough.
OK, Ring Ring is going on the list. I'm not promising anything but if I'm playing and I've had a couple of wines anything could happen :)
Also - make me a sim so I can throw him or her into the townie pool? And don't tell me you're not good at making sims because you know I don't care if they're pretty or not.

Love the first installment!! Strife (I mean....The One) is looking good Engram. I spied another Sim of mine to, you downloaded Bart!! I am looking forward to the next updates, he scored with Molly that's for sure.
The sim on the right of this picture is also one of yours. It's Mallory Phillips. I downloaded her hair but forgot to put it into the Packages folder so she just appears in my game with base game hair. I also put in Pirate (he'll be in the next update) and another one whose name escapes me. I'll be popping more into the hood as time goes by.
When I saw Molly's name I thought of Molly Ringwald so unintentional awesomeness I am sure, but still, very awesome.
When I saw The One's name I thought of Lord of the Rings and a song by Elton John, not sure what it was supposed to be based on, but it is still funny.
I will consider you lucky for having found a woman for The One because in my game I am having to focus on the teenagers for my legacy Sims and age them up when appropriate or Service Sims (currently chasing the repo man). If they don't have a spouse they are dating by the end of the first day everyone is already attached, if not married, by the second day.
I keep thinking "Molly Ringwald" whenever I see the name, too. I'm just showing my age, I think :)
I just wanted the legacy founder's name to be ridiculous and kind of set the tone for the whole thing while at the same time being awesome and facepalm worthy. I reckon "The One Ring" pretty much achieves all of that.
Chasing spouses in TS3 is hard work. Molly already had a romantic interest but they were not going steady so I was lucky that The One managed to get her to fall in love with him. I had him approach a few of the female sims he met and most of them already had a partner. And I didn't want to break anyone up because it's a fresh hood with fresh townies who are all single young adults so I wanted the relationships to keep going so that future generations would be born. Which made it harder because I had to let go of likely prospects. Down the track, once the town is more established, I might get the heir(ess) to ask the other sim to break up with their partner. But for now, I just want to establish new families from scratch.

I'm having lots of fun with this family. Both The One and Molly have some trait-related quirks and while it doesn't really come across in the pictures because I tend to be late off the mark and miss the idle actions, it definitely keeps ME entertained while I'm playing.
