Nobody at vacation hotel?

Wanting to get back to my legacies, I've been playing Beatrice and Benton Darcy on their vacation. I have played through their first day and other than them, nobody has moved into their hotel!!!! It's damn boring!!!
I know that this is a common problem and that there is a fix. I am about to search the LJ comms as well as S2C and InSim's help

I was going to suggest that it was your templates. But seeing as you can only genorate men I have no clue what to do. It's a shame when stuff like that happens... I hope you figure it out.

I tried generating locals and tourists by sending Booster to a comm lot. And again all I got was men. So I'm going to download a bunch of LL30 sims and make them into tourists. I don't know if I can make them into locals, but I will try.

I'm also going to put back the non-empty BV templates. I'll try the wiki, see if that has anything to say, but most of the advice for this that I've read has been "generate tourists and locals". Well, all I get is men, so that's no good to me. I need a mix.

That's a really good idea. I tend not to use those empty templates because I worry about things like that. Oh and by the way, do you want to join my contest or are you just watching it? I hope your idea works for your game too Engram.

I wanted to watch it. Was thinking of joining but I start work this coming week so I don't know how much time I will have between working and looking after 2 toddlers. I might join a later one if you run another one, once I know how my time works out between work and kids.

Oh that's cool Engram, I'll most likely do another one. If you find any spare time I can extend it. I want it to be sort of a less serious contest so if you find you have some spare time away from work and your little ones just say.

You can make them into locals as well with the townie gun - it should say something like "Make into vacation local" >> "Asian/Tropical/Mountains" >> "Name". You also need this fix so that your custom locals know their typical gestures:

Thanks for that link! I've been on my sim downloading spree at a couple of sites. I'm now making the families. I'll make sure to install the fix before I turn them into bv locals.
