My thought processes sometimes scare me

This morning: "Ooooh! It's the 29th already and I threatened to do dare #26 at maxis_taste at least a week ago and there isn't much of January left so I'd better get onto it. I should fire up the game and start playing (...) but first, I must retexture this hair for the sim I am going to play! It's going to look absolutely perfect on her!"

JIC, the dare is going to be extended for February, so don't worry ;) (I'll be posting more about this weekend). I'm very curious to know what are you planning, tho, it'll be great to see an entry with Sims 3.

Oooh! Don't give me any more reasons to procrastinate on this! LOL

I think the sim(s) I have chosen will surprise everyone. I'm curious to see how this goes for me. I don't necessarily want to fall in love with the household I have chosen but I hope I can tolerate the sims in it a little bit more after this.

I need to install some sort of concentration mod. It is now 7:20 pm and I still haven't played because I have been procrastinating all day. However, I did retexture the hair so at least that much got done. I shall fire up my game now.

I think my disliked sim/family will surprise everyone.

That sounds like me, except I'd load the game and then have zero interest by the time it was ready or have to go do something else by that time. :P Or now that I don't have a working gaming computer (but new one to arrive next week, I hope!), all I want to do is play, so there you go. Fickle.

Just do it! Do it now. You'll have fun once you get started.

I started by doing sim makeovers. It's been fun so far, especially as there was much staring in horror at the abominations EA has assigned as the various outfits.

And I was right about the hair - suits the sim it was intended for 100% :D I put a different hair on her and I don't know whether it's a crappy retexture or the colour EA assigned to her hair are horrifying but once she came out of CAS she looked like she's wearing a helmet shaped like an anime hair. So she will definitely be using the hair I retextured for her.

Haha! I'm glad to hear it worked out well for her. Helmet head is no good.

So you're playing Sims 3, right? I'm hoping my new system will allow me to play that more easily (and it should). I could play it on my old machine, but it was too slow to actually be much fun. Going into CAS to give makeovers took a lifetime.

I'm playing only Sims 3 at the moment because Sims 2 isn't configured for my monitor. It's all stretchy and horrible. I've been told how to fix it so I will hopefully be able to play that as well soon. I just need to get around to editing a game file to configure the game for my monitor size.

Sims 3 is fun if you have the right specs for it. For me, the game itself plays just fine but I do get some lag in CAS. A lot of people complain about lag in CAS, though.
