Ugh

Yesterday was such an objectively bad day.

I woke up at 11pm Monday night, because with the pretty crazy amount of overtime I worked in the last two weeks, my sleep schedule was way out of wack. So I stayed up all night bored. Then I tried to go to my doctor's appt. at 9:45, only to discover that I'd put it in my calendar wrong, and I should have been there an hour earlier.

So I rescheduled for 1:45 instead. Did some grocery shopping, went home to kill some time. When it was time to go back to the doctor's office, Jenn decided to come with because she was bored out of her mind. When we got there, the waiting room was packed - there wasn't anywhere left to sit. So Jenn went out to wait in the car, and I leaned against the wall until a chair came open. An hour later I finally get called in. After I go through the preliminaries with the nurse, she leaves me in the room with a hospital gown and a pillowcase. Not a sheet, a pillowcase. I don't even know. So I get naked and use the gown and pillowcase to cover up as best as I can. When the doctor comes in we discuss anti-depressants, which is always fun. Then comes the well woman exam, which actually hurts. I've never had one hurt before, but that was fucking painful. After that, I get my prescription and get out of there.

And then in the parking lot, I back into a truck, because I wasn't paying enough fucking attention. The lady in the truck was really nice, thankfully. It didn't look like there was much damage to my car at first, but I dented up her driver's side door pretty good. Upon closer inspection, I cracked my bumper just the tinyest amount, and now it needs to be replaced. I gave her all my insurance info and we headed out.

At that point I just wanted to go home, but I wanted my prescription first. Unfortunately, I forgot to grab my insurance card and HSA debit card at home. Tried a nearby Rite-Aid anyways, just to see how much it'd be without insurance and gave that total a hell no. So back to the apartment we went, I grabbed my insurance stuff, and then on to Walmart. Then there was a two hour wait for my prescription. I made my car insurance claim while we were waiting, and played phone tag with the lady I hit, because I wasn't thinking too clearly when I got her information, and didn't get everything I needed from her. We also had time to go get an estimate on my car before my prescription was ready. So I'll probably be taking it in next week to get the bumper fixed. If it was actually my car, I probably wouldn't bother, since the crack is hardly noticeable, but it's a fleet car so it's up to the company.

I finally got my prescription, and we went straight home. I watched a few CSI episodes to wind down, and then passed. out. And that was my bad day.

Today will be better though. Jenn and I are driving up to St. Louis later, and we're going to stay a couple nights and look around. If I can find someone selling cheap enough tickets at the door, we'll go see Lady Gaga tomorrow night. If not, oh well. I'm sure we'll still have fun wandering. And at some point this week, I'll manage to finish my New Years Resolutions post. Hopefully.

Edit: Also, I made a tumblr.
