What did you do over the Summer?
So...I haven't posted in a while. This summer has been ... interesting to say the least.
- Applied and was interviewed for a couple of web part time/internships in Chicago, didn't get hired but it did give me experience and confidence to talk about myself and my work.
- Read some books, the highlight would have to be The Brief Wondrous Life of Oscar Wao. Also noteworthy graphic novels would be Batman R.I.P. , Final Crisis (both written by Grant Morrison) and Gantz.
- Got to visit Ariel a couple times over the summer <3.
- The big news, and the more recent news have to be that I finally got my school hold ups straighten out and was able to attend the Summer Portfolio Show. Meaning...I'M FINISHED WITH SCHOOL HELL YEAH! It's amazing thinking how long this whole process has been (no I don't believe the whole "School just flew by" thing, no it has been a long and trying journey). Expect me to ramble talk more about it later.
- Now what you ask? In the mean time I found (or it found me) a part time job at the North Chicago Public Library as a Reference Assistant. Till Ariel graduates in December I can be saving money for the eventually move down to Dallas.
