What Fresh Hell is This?
My time management skills need a level up.
-Happy Belated Thanksgiving!
-I had mentioned it last time, but Ariel came to stay for a week during my birthday. One of the disadvantages of a long distance relationships is not being able to physically close. Not just simply sex but being able bundle together under the blanket or good night kisses, the simple things. Maybe that explains why we didn't do too much when she was here. We did catch the TV on the Radio show which was pretty awesome (and pleasantly surprised by the opening act, the dirtbombs).
-The time that I'll be done with school is tantalizing close but still slightly out of reach. Why? Between working on my Senior Project, preparing for Senior Project Defense (where I defend my choice of project), and then Portfolio Show it still feels far away and not quite real yet.
-I lost my wallet on Tuesday. It's so weird realizing how important plastic is. Luckily, I had to take some money out of the atm earlier that day and put it in my pocket. Otherwise I would have been shit out of luck.
-You choose Twilight I choose Fledgling. (You got my vampire tale in you commentary about race/bigotry, community, group marriage and identity. You got your commentary about race/bigotry...whatever you know the joke. ) If there's demand (and/or I find the time) I'll write more about the book. In Brief: Very good. From what I've gathered, the other Butler books are a bit more weighty, but this is one of the smarter vampire books I've read. Highly recommended.
-I need the Chicago Bears to decide if they are want to be good or not.
-Omar RL (from The Mars Volta and no I'm not going to type out his entire last name) releases a "solo" (solo in the sense that he still has a lot of the people from the band play on it just minus Cedric) on Stones Throw Records (one of the few labels that I follow regularly). (This last paragraph had a lot of parenthesis hasn't it () () (()) 3(x + 5) ahem anywhos ) I enjoyed the album. If you've already decided that the mars volta don't do anything for you, this is not going to change your mind (not unless your problem with them was the lyrics then which the solo albums are an improvement because there aren't any). ())()(()()))()
